We would like to provide you with a brief
history of The Vern's Pizza Company Ltd. as well as some insight into
general operations which include the role of the franchisor as well as
the Franchisee. The products sold under the trade name Vern's Pizza have been in the marketplace since April 1990. They originated in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in a convenience store known as Vern's Place, which still holds within its boundaries the first Vern's Pizza franchise. The "Pizza By The Slice" concept that has made Vern's Pizza famous in subsequent years was first developed along with pasta dishes, burgers and fries, soups and sandwiches, etc. to serve a lunch trade whose focus was a quick take-out meal at an affordable price. The "Pizza By The Slice" concept took off because unlike any other pizza product on the market, a single slice of Vern's Original is a meal in itself. The pizza Vern's produced was very successful as it provides customers with exceptional value for their money, it quickly became known as the top rated product in the city and other outlets became necessary to meet the demand. This was no small feat as Saskatchewan is known to have the most food outlets per capita of anywhere in North America. Today we are a nationally trademarked company with franchises in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia. Most existing franchises boast average sales of $30,000 to $70,000 per month.
